[singlepic id=72 w=320 h=240 float=right]We offer the world’s only combined driving and cycling training programme, and it’s available now to schools and clubs. Bring your members here as part of their TY programmes, on a school tour, or on a club day out, and they’ll have a great time learning vital road skills.
Everyone from 4th class upwards can benefit from world-class road safety tuition on two wheels as well as four!
A 3-hour ‘Safe Wheels’ workshop includes:
Cycle Training:
Our cycling instructors have been trained through the UK’s Bikeability programme, to offer clear, practical support to trainee cyclists in a safe, off-road environment. Our highly realistic practice track is equipped with everything from filter lanes and T-junctions to roundabouts; here the trainees will learn the theory they need to get ready for the challenges they’ll face when they head out onto the roads. They’ll get lots of opportunities to practise cycling on the track and, before they leave, they’ll have practised cycling when cars join them there. It’s an invaluable experience.
An Introduction to Driving Skills:
Our young cyclists also get to see how the road looks from a driver’s point of view when they practise driving and braking on our state-of-the-art simulators. They’ll be having great fun as they learn basic driving skills in the Simulation Zone and, while they’re enjoying their day out, we’ll be giving the a positive start on the journey they’re making through to their driving tests. The driving test will bring them full circle because every new Irish driver is required to be properly ‘cycle aware’. That’s why it’s never too early to start thinking about road safety in terms of two wheels as well as four!
*Pricing:
