Learn to ride a motorbike at the Bantry Driving Academy!
‘Initial Basic Training’ helps learners to master all of the theory and practical skills they’ll need to become safe motorcyclists. Here at the BDA, you’ll get to put your motorbike skills to the test straight away when you set out on the BDA’s fully-equipped practice track.
Motorbike Training on a Practice Track
The practice track at the Bantry Driving Academy is the perfect environment for learning to cope with all of the challenges you’ll face after you’ve passed your test.
When you learn to ride a motorbike at our training facilities here, you’ll be able to practise tackling right-hand turns, hill starts, and filter lanes, all on our kilometre of roadway without having to deal with the stress of managing traffic at the same time.
You’ll be able to build your confidence and learn key skills without distraction. As your training progresses, you’ll continue your motorbike lessons on the public roads, with the full support of our highly-qualified instructors.
Your lessons will be offered via a 2-day intensive training programme. Bike and equipment hire can be arranged through the BDA, so whether you’re returning to motorcycling, or you’re just starting out, you’ll be able to take advantage of the fantastic tuition on offer.
The Bantry Driving Academy’s motorbike training complies fully with the RSA’s regulations, which set out the number of stages learners must go through before they’re allowed to drive powerful bikes.
To get started on your lessons, you’ll need to have gained your Class A theory test certificate.
You’ll then need to book an appointment for a theory test. Once you’ve passed this test, you’ll be ready to start learning here at the BDA!
