The KickStart programme is offered by Fiona Keohane – a registered dietitian – and Niall Healy – an experienced personal trainer. They’re using the BDA’s track and training facilities to help West Cork people to start out on the road to much healthier lifestyles.
‘Bantry Driving Academy’s practice track is perfect for us because it gives people the privacy they need when they’re beginning a new exercise programme’, says Niall.
Niall has worked as a personal trainer in Boston and Cork, helping individuals, groups and teams to get fitter. Fiona – a member of the family here at the BDA – has trained in Cork and London to support people as they change the way they eat.
‘We’re very conscious that the track here was built with a huge amount of help and support from the West Cork Development Partnership‘ says Mary Keohane, the BDA’s director. ‘It’s great to be able to use it to help other young businesses thrive.’
